In 2003, the assembly meeting at North River Road in Ottawa, Ontario commended Shawn and Heidi to the grace of God, to serve Him and His people, as He would lead.

From 2003 to 2009, they lived in El Salvador, Central America, and laboured in teaching among the various assemblies in the country as well as in new gospel work in its second-largest city, Santa Ana.

From 2009 to 2015, Fredericton, New Brunswick was home for the St. Clairs, and those years were spent primarily in gospel work among Spanish-speaking residents and temporary workers, as well as teaching in assemblies and at conferences. There was also opportunity to return to El Salvador at least once each year, as well as visits to various other Spanish-speaking countries to help were possible.

In 2015, the Lord directed to a new area of service, and Shawn and Heidi moved with their four children (Laura, Cullen, Rosalie and Victoria) to Cornwall, Ontario. Brian and Jeanette Kember moved to the city with their children at the same time, and Simon Kember was already living in Cornwall. The city of 50,000 has been covered three times in its entirety with texts and invitations, and since early 2016, a rented storefront has been used for a weekly schedule of meetings and outreach activities.

God has blessed with some professing salvation and with believers who attend and show interest in the teaching given. In the fall of 2018, the Lord saw fit to plant a new local assembly in Cornwall and initially twelve believers took their place in fellowship.  The weekly schedule now includes the breaking of bread, Sunday school, gospel meeting, prayer and ministry meeting, as well as a moms and tots program and a drop-in coffee hour.

Please pray for Cornwall, that the Lord would continue to save souls, and that He would strengthen the local assembly for His own glory!
