It was on December 28, 2012, that by the grace of the Lord, we were commissioned for this work, with the support of the elders and full-time workers in Venezuela. We arrived here in Colombia at the beginning of 2013, in the San José de los Campanos neighborhood of Cartagena de Indias, preaching the holy and blessed gospel. We also began a Bible class, and in December 2015, we sat down for the first time with the believers at that time to joyfully celebrate the Lord’s Supper. To this day, the assembly continues its preaching activities in the neighborhoods, and there is a large attendance
of children at the Bible classes. Some of these young people have professed faith in our Lord.

In 2015, guided by the Lord, we made our first trip to Valledupar, the capital of the Cesar department, a nine-hour bus ride away. There, we preached the unfathomable riches of Christ to the people of Valledupar. We continued this work with great effort, witnessing the Lord’s blessings in saving souls and miraculously providing the necessary resources for so many trips there. Finally, in December 2018, with great joy, we celebrated the Lord’s Supper with nine other believers, marking the establishment of another congregation in this vast country, following the biblical pattern.

In September 2022, we moved to Santa Marta, the capital of the Magdalena department. During these years, we have preached the gospel to the people of Santa Marta in many neighborhoods, holding prayer services, Bible studies, and ministry of the Word. On Sundays, we have a devotional service. We are working to establish a congregation here, God willing. We live in a rented house with our 19-year-old son, José David, a christian in the fellowship. We have two older daughters, Mariana and Marianny, who are married and believers in communion with their husbands here in Colombia.

Currently, we are preaching the gospel in the Luis R. Calvo neighborhood, with good attendance and interest from the listeners. There are some believers there. We also have two Bible classes, one in the Villa del Carmen neighborhood and the other in the 11 de Noviembre neighborhood. We earnestly ask for your prayers for the work here in Colombia and pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
