Jim Comte was born and raised in a godly home in Montreal, Quebec. He was saved at the age of 9, baptized at 12, and received into the local assembly, Ogilvy Avenue Gospel Hall. At 13 he gave his testimony in a gospel meeting. In 1962, he married his sweetheart Heather who was also from the same assembly and together they raised 3 children who are all happily married. They have 9 grandchildren.br /For several years Jim worked as a representative for a laboratory supply company, and then in 1966 he was transferred to Halifax as a Pharmaceutical representative. In August, 1969, Jim Heather were commended by Ogilvy Avenue Gospel Hall and that same year they moved to Truro, NS. Together they helped the little assembly, while at the same time Jim was involved in itinerant gospel work, childrens work, as well as ministry throughout the Maritimes. In 1976 they moved to Dartmouth, NS until 1978 when they moved to Barrie. Over the years they have been very active in childrens camp work, VBS, and Jim has conducted many series of childrens meetings. As well, he has many opportunities to minister on the Tabernacle, using a beautiful scale model. In the early 80s they were commended as well by Northside Bible Chapel in Barrie. Jim carries on an itinerant ministry in Ontario, the Maritimes and the northern U. S. states.
