From the time I was saved by God’s grace at 17, missions work has been on my heart. I always assumed that it would be somewhere in Latin America because of my interest in Spanish, but the Lord always knows what is best. The Lord led me into the field of education as a career path. After studying to teach Spanish and ESL, I spent a year teaching in the city of Detroit while being involved in different gospel outreaches associated with my assembly.

In 2017, the Lord very clearly showed me through His word, teaching at my assembly and various circumstances that He wanted me to move to Zambia and teach at Sakeji Mission School. Two verses that specifically spoke to me were Matthew 19:29 (“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.”) and Mark 11:3 (“…the Lord has need of it…”). Confident that the Lord was guiding me, I relocated to a country that I had never previously visited. He has been absolutely faithful ever since.

After spending three and a half years at Sakeji, the Lord directed me to relocate. Currently I am in the process of moving to the southern region of Malawi, where I will labor alongside a number of local couples and Stephen and Gail Harper. I plan to occupy my time with children’s work, with the primary focus being Bible Clubs in the public school system. Until I am proficient in the language, I will be helping out in the children’s work and other outreaches that a Malawian couple, Goodson and Flora, are involved in. Please pray for a smooth transition, wisdom with all the logistics that need sorted out, continued direction, and help learning Chichewa.
