Sandra Turkington

Allan Turkington and Sandra (from Nova Scotia, Canada) were commended from the assembly of San Carlos, Venezuela in 1994. They worked in the preaching of the gospel and teaching of the doctrine in the state of Barinas as well as in gospel hall constructions in the surrounding states.

In 2016 the Lord answered a prayer of many years, and they started receiving social orphans into their home. At present in 2024 they are caring for 16 children full time.

With the economic crisis starting in 2012, the public education system plummeted, highlighting the great need for schooling. A Christian school was started, functioned for several years, and was fully legalized in 2023. There are presently 60 children enrolled from preschool until grade 3.

Allan was called Home in 2022. Sandra continues with the children’s work in her home and the ministry of the Christian school with the help of several of her daughters.

The battle in the valley was won because of the hands lifted in intercession on the mountain.

For wisdom in reaching all the day-to-day decisions that are involved in raising children (several reaching the teenage years!) and running a school.
