My wife Sandy and I were commissioned to the Lord’s work in Sincelejo, Colombia in April 2019; and by His grace we have been working in the northern part of the country, specifically in the coastal savanna, in the departments of Sucre and Cordoba, although we live in Sincelejo, the capital of Sucre.

Our work has been mostly focused on preaching in different towns and rural communities in this area, taking advantage of the blessing we have of being able to hold Bible classes with children, which has opened doors for us to share the gospel. Using this method of ministry, the Lord has allowed us to enter a  neighborhood called 17 de Septiembre, and over the years He has brought some people to Christ who are now active members of the congregation in Sincelejo. With the same spirit, we have been holding classes and preaching in Chinú, a town in Cordoba, where there is a building that was constructed by Brother Eduardo Smith, a servant of the Lord from Australia, who worked for many years in Colombia. He worked hard in that place, and we know that we have taken on the work of others, and we thank the Lord for those who have gone before us.

A large part of our work also involves supporting the teaching and instruction in the surrounding assemblies, which are striving to grow, such as Manguitos, La Sierpe, Macajan, Caucasia, Barranquilla, and El Tesoro. In general, the areas where we work are very rural.

Colombia is a very large country, and the work is very broad and varied. There are more distant places where we have felt a deep emotional burden, such as Pasto on the border with Ecuador (1,327 km from Sincelejo), where we try to help, always aiming to go at least once a year. Another place we think about a lot for preaching the gospel is Urrao in the mountains of Antioquia, which, although quite far (642 km from our home), has touched us in a special way through the Lord. The work here, due to its characteristics, is very dynamic. We appreciate your prayers for this country and the different needs that exist, that He would send workers into His harvest, and for us to be guided in doing His will.

Chinu / Cordoba

Hemos estado trabajando en los últimos meses  ( ya casi 2 años) en un pueblo del departamento de Cordoba llamado Chinu, y agradecemos de manera muy especial sus oraciones por esta labor, tenemos una clase bíblica que se da en la calle, los jueves ,donde hay buena animación pero es un sector llamado la Piragua, donde la inmoralidad es grande, y algunas de las jovencitas que asisten llevan una vida muy dura, y nos preocupa el mal en que pudieran caer, por eso rogamos que EL SENOR las salve de este mundo malo y sus almas para la eternidad, hay una pareja con mucho deseo de oro la palabra llamados Jeison y Lina y su hijo Matias, y unas sobrinas de ellas que son muy fieles pero con una vida muy preocupante ya casi adolescentes llamadas Ana Gabriela y Maria Camila. EL el otro sector totalmente opuesto donde hay un lugar donde antiguamente se predico (construido por nuestro hermano Eduard Smith) ha sido muy difícil conseguir asistencia en los adultos y aun en los niños, en este momento no hay clase bíblica en este lugar llamado Villa Maria, estamos predicando al frente del local a vecinos que  se sientan al frente de sus casas para aprovechar la oportunidad, agradecemos muchísimos sus oraciones

Preaching in Shagun – Cordoba

Greetings beloved brothers, we ask for prayer for this purpose of praying for this new place of preaching, and we are grateful to the Lord because his prayers were answered, with reason THE LORD encouraged us to agree to pray together and he promises "it will be done to you by my father who is in heaven" Mt 18:19. I will try to summarize this, but I only advance that we are convinced that the only way THE LORD blesses the preaching of the gospel is not with saved souls, it is one of the keys, but it is not the only one. First time since we live in Colombia that we see several assemblies working together on a purpose, of evangelism, and in these cults we could see 4 assemblies represented, that is more than we had asked for and we enjoyed it, see great efforts of brothers from distant places traveling early, to evangelize and invite, the truth brothers this gave me a very great joy to the point of crying because we have prayed for this and THE LORD granted them to HIM BE THE GLORY, on the other hand from the first day see good assistance of neighbors and family of the brothers, and Listen with great reverence to the message of salvation, we are convinced that we do not save, and that salvation belongs to HIM, but "he who hears my word and believes the one who sent me" are taking the first step to hear and that gives joy, but when it is common for us in this area to see so much attention, and finally the most Old worker in the country already with 86 years very limited in his steps, but he was encouraged to accompany us and we were very blessed to see the grace of the LORD in exercising his gift that the preaching of the gospel, in short brothers Truly more than we deserve, we have not heard of professions of salvation but good "put your bread on the waters and after many days you will find it" Ecclesias 11:1 we trust in the power of his word.

We met with the purpose of returning we believe that there is a key point for preaching there, and we hope after complying with other places where we must be, return, people were clear with the message and with the desire to continue listening, and a young woman named Yuli, she was very shocked, she wanted to go on Sunday to the LORD's dinner in the nearest assembly that is El Tesoro, and we went to look for her but they did not let her go, although she is a young but adult woman, about 38 years old, she suffers from a mysterious disease that has left her in a chair of Wheel and her crooked hands, the doctors believe it is ALS but they are not sure, the truth is that we must pray for her and her need for salvation. Keep praying for Sahagun and for this department of Cordoba where Chinu is also.

Greetings brothers, we asked for Prayer to reactivate the biblical class in the Chinu place, and what power the prayer has without a doubt, the truth is that we are happy that in a miraculous way THE LORD, I react, a day of a lot of rain where we could not give the Class in the Canoe, because it is outdoors, we had to take them in the car to the Local, and that encouraged some children of the place, to attend and from there we started again with this purpose, we thank those who prayed for it and how much we continue to cry for more prayer, there is Only 3 children who are attending, but it gives us joy they are souls that need salvation, but we would still like to see more, we have the purpose of doing a special activity with the children once a month to unite them all and thus see if others dare to go more, we continue to pray for the help of heaven for this sector.

On Monday the 20th we begin preaching cults in the neighboring city (the second most important city in the department of Cordoba) called Sahagun, near there is an assembly about 5 kms stuck towards a field that is THE TREASURE, we are in communion with them and the assembly in Sincelejo, to try to preach in that sector, we have years praying for this place, and there lives a family that is in communion in El Tesoro, so a great and effective opportunity has opened up but many are the adversaries, we pray to the LORD to help us in this spiritual battle
