Updated April 2019. We were commended to the work of the Lord in Chavuma, Zambia in 2004. We served there until 2008 doing medical work in the mission hospital and a variety of gospel outreaches in the local area which extended into Angola before the Lord directed us to return to Canada. In February of 2012 we again left Canada, commended to the work of the Lord in Angola by McAdam Avenue Gospel Hall, Fredericton, New Brunswick. After studying Portuguese in Portugal and receiving our visas for Angola, we arrived in Angola in 2014. We live in Biula, Lunda-Sul province of Angola. We continue to learn the Chokwe language and culture, form relationships with local people, give regular Bible teaching in local churches, engage in open-air village evangelism, run small group Bible studies and disciple young men. Samuel works with nearby medical clinics run by Christian nurses from the assemblies, focusing on the clinic in Biula and continuing to train the staff there. There is a tremendous need for Bible teaching in the local churches of our area, and medical teaching in the clinics We need the Lords direction as the opportunities and needs in Angola are seemingly limitless. Elizabeth is fully engaged in home schooling our 4 children, caring for our home, and helping in afternoon clinics at our house.
Our oldest son, Zachary, started university in Vancouver, Canada in 2018. At the end of 2018, the responsibility for our commendation was moved to Carleton Gospel Hall in Vancouver. In September of 2019, our second son, Ethan, will start university in Vancouver. If you would like to receive quarterly prayer updates, send us an email. We deeply value the prayers of Gods people.
