Donor Form

Can I send a gift for someone who is not a commended worker?
Since Gospel Trust Canada is recognized as a Charitable Organization by the Federal government, there are certain regulations we must meet. One requirement is that we can send money to an individual, only if that individual is commended to the full time work of the Lord and we have on file a copy of his or her letter of commendation and other necessary paperwork.

How are administrative expenses paid for?
Administrative expenses are met by the liberality of the Lord’s people when they earmark a portion of their donation for that purpose. Historically these expenses have been less than 3% of the total receipts. Gospel Trust Canada does not withhold any portion of your donation to help defray our administrative expenses unless you instruct us to do so.

Can I send a donation in U.S. Dollars?
Donations in U.S. dollars are accepted but since remittances to most missionaries are deposited directly into their Canadian bank accounts, it is preferable that donations be made in Canadian dollars and, if necessary, we will convert them to U.S. dollars.

How do I make a donation by cheque?

Send a cheque made payable to "Gospel Trust Canada" to the address in the contact section along with either the donor form downloaded from this website or the pre-printed donor form from the bottom portion of your receipt if you have used the Trust before.

If you are sending to more than one commended worker, one cheque for the total amount is all that is necessary.

If it is more convenient, you can send a series of post dated cheques for up to one year in advance.

Can I make a donation by credit card?
Donors can use their credit card to make a one time donation or recurring donation on-line through
CanadaHelps. CanadaHelps deducts a 3% fee from your donation for this service.  CanadaHelps issues an immediate tax receipt to the donor for the gift and the amount is deposited into the Trust's account in a week or two and the Trust then forwards the fellowship to the commended workers.

Can I donate securities?
Gospel Trust Canada can receive your donation of publicly listed securities through CanadaHelps. Your donation must be of securities that are traded on a public market in Canada or the United States. This includes stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, but excludes shares in a private corporations and stock options. Please see
CanadaHelps website for more information.

Do you set up or send to “special funds”?
Although there are special needs that occur on occasion, we do not set up or forward to special funds.
